Amir Abdel Malik Ali, a radical imam, featured at the University of California, Irvine Anthill Pub on a matted photo side-wallAug 07, 2008

Amir Abdel Malik Ali, a radical imam, is no stranger to UC Irvine where he regularly spreads his seething hatred of America, Israel and Jews on behalf of the Muslim Student Union (MSU). Imam Malik Ali is involved with As-Sabiqun (which means "The Vanguard" in Arabic). This movement is a Sunni endeavor that seeks, through "an organized Islamic movement," to establish Islam "as a complete way of life in America" -- "in total, complete, and uncompromised service of Allah." This movement works closely with Muslim Student Associations across the country, including UC Irvine’s MSU. It has been brought to my attention that a picture of Amir Abdel Malik Ali is featured at the Anthill Pub on the UC Irvine campus. The picture is displayed prominently among other pictures which feature UCI athletes and advertisements for alcoholic beverages.

Are moderate Muslims turning into orthodox zombies in the US?

The recent big news about the capturing of Pakistani born US citizen Aafia Siddiqui raised many eyebrows. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/08/05/terror/main4321001.shtml?source=RSSattr=U.S._4321001 This is quite puzzling to conceive that Siddiqui, who studied in such prestigious institution like MIT could go so low as to support wholeheartedly a fanatic Islamist and his gang! We are yet to find more detail about her family background. If she was raised in an orthodox Muslim family, then we do not much to ponder. In case she was raised in a considerably liberal Pakistani family, then we have much to worry.

Sister shot in 'honour' killing

In Jordan, a man shot his 23-year-old sister to death over suspicions that she was having unmarried sex. An autopsy later revealed that she was a virgin. This is just another example of the human rights abuses that occurs daily in the Arab world.

Masab [Yousuf] slammed Palestinian society as "an entire society [that] sanctifies death and the suicide terrorists. In Palestinian culture a suicide terrorist becomes a hero, a martyr. Sheiks tell their students about the 'heroism of the shaheeds.'"
